Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrence Epstein.
Lawrence, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I opened Marina Caregivers Inc in 2005. Since then I have continued to operate a dispensary, and cultivation, in the City of LA. I have jumped through every hoop that LA & CA have thrown at my industry, and remain compliant with all local & state laws. In 2018, I went from Medical to Adult Recreational sales and continue to expand and grow. We now offer delivery and curbside pickup options, in addition to our in-person Retail experience, and our fully automated, no contact Retail kiosks. Plenty of parking and friendly staff
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Most of my art comes in the form of excellent customer service. Once someone comes into my door, I take every action to make them feel welcome and comfortable, and ensure a high likelihood that the person will come back for a second visit.
The other art is in the form of cultivation. Creating, and maintaining, a man-made environment is no small task. There is no down time- if something goes wrong it must be addressed immediately or the consequences will be severe. Once you have mastered the basic steps of running a grow room, you can then add your own flare and signatures to the work. This is where the art side of things really makes a difference. in the quality of the final product.
Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
Being deemed essential has had a major impact on our role in the community. Some people truly need cannabis for medical reasons, others really want it to deal with the stress of life in the pandemic- either way, they are very happy and appreciative that me and my staff are willing to risk exposure, in order to serve them in their time of need. Its stressful, but worth it.
