Check out Jason Whitworth’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Whitworth.

Jason, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Born in the UK in Cheshire and proud to be from the North West, there was a feeling to go see what the world had to offer after I had completed my Masters in the UK. Very quickly I was introduced to new cultures across Europe, North Africa and North America reinforcing and inspiring a strong connection with the creative process.

I have been torn between Photography and Graphic Design, so started to work on developing my creative eye, leading me to use these two skills in Branding, Design, and Creative Consulting. Over the years I have worked with an extensive client list which includes Starbucks, British Vogue, Bottega Veneta, Anita Patel MD, LAPALME Magazine, Anna Hoffman Landscape Architecture and Digital Imaging Group (part of The Royal Photographic Society).

Through my travels, education and adventures I found my self-moving back to the US in Los Angeles and have called this city home for the past 9 years. Love every minute here.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
What do you do?
Branding + Graphic Design + Creative Consulting – I use Agile Creativity and Empathic Design to go deeper and to look at the bigger picture.

What’s the message or inspiration?
I found my inspiration comes from Bauhaus Design, Op-Art, Mid Century Architecture, and Pure Photography or Straight Photography.

What should we know about your artwork?
When I create or design, I try to take what I have learned from the client and place a part of them in my work. I can create art for myself though I design for others.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
I think the overall conditions for an artist hasn’t changed over time. It’s all relative depending on your surroundings – how we see things, how we communicate with each other, and how we interact with the medium available to us.

Living in LA and being part of the creative community has allowed me to see, there are lots of different ways to experience a wide collection of art and interact with artists from different backgrounds and countries.

Make the most from it all, be inspired from the smallest thing and allow the ideas to grow.
