Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Woo.
Jade, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I have always wanted to be a photographer! When I was 12 years old I saved all my allowance money and bought my first DSLR camera. But I didn’t really learn how to use my camera and shoot in manual until I was 16. I started helping out an established photographer in my area and he taught me how my camera works. I spent so much time learning the settings and how to change them. I became much more confident and continued second shooting for that photographer for 4 years before I started my own business last year! Since then I have had a blast document peoples special moment on my own and under my own business!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a portrait photographer that emphasizes in weddings, elopements and couples! I love document the unique human connections between people in love. I want people to feel something when they see my photos and be able to look back on the photos one day and remember that special time!
How can artists connect with other artists?
step out of your comfort zone and reach out to people you admire or would like to work with! The worst that can happen is they don’t respond but you would be surprised how supportive fellow creatives can be!! And they usually end up becoming friends!
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
