Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Campbell.
Hi Grace, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
By accident. I love to have a glass of wine from time to time but most of the time it gave me headaches, often after just a couple of sips. I decided to talk to local winemakers who helped me come to the conclusion that I may have been drinking wine with too much additives and sulfites which the big commercial brands like to do. Working with winemakers and vineyards in Santa Barbara, we handcraft wines with much lower sulfites and hand-picked quality grapes. We work with a sustainable farmed a Vineyard and craft wines in small batches to maintain quality and minimal intervention.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
We launched online February 2020 right before the pandemic hit. We had many appointments at local restaurants set for early March and then everything was shut down. We had to quickly shift our focus from selling to restaurants and boutique shops to directly selling to consumers online. It was a beauty in disguise because alcohol purchases online doubled during the pandemic and we have been thriving selling directly to our customers online. Our South Bay community continue to support us and regularly purchase online and we are thankful for them.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a boutique winery focused on selling to our consumers online and. So we bring the winery to you within 24-48 hours and South Bay residences receive same day service. What makes us different? We handpick our quality grown sustainably grown grapes and craft in minimal batches which enables us to provide quality wines that usually cost $100.00 a bottle. In other words, our $25.00 bottle tastes like $100.00. We are proud to bring quality, luxury wines at affordable prices to our community.
