Check Out Dino Mosley’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dino Mosley.

Hi Dino, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a young man, I became interested in photography while watching my father who would take pictures with an old Polaroid. Over the years, I continued that love, but it wasn’t until I was the subject of a photoshoot that I purchased my own camera took a few classes and the rest is history. I’ve been shooting professionally now since 2010.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Because I’ve been a fitness trainer for many years, I already had experience with leading a business. What I wasn’t expecting were the challenges around getting paid clients and expanding my reach. I have encountered lots of people that want to get photographed for free and the industry in itself is about notoriety and relationships. Being new to photography, it has taken some time to make a name for myself and to get in front of certain people but those aspects are definitely getting better.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Although I do all types of work, Dino Mosley Photography specializes in fashion, beauty and portrait photography. I also do a lot of headshots for business professionals, actors, etc. The way that I use lighting is probably the thing that sets me apart from others. I’m also a bit of a one-stop shop in that if needed, I also do styling. In fact, many of my clients are either styled by me or I’ve provided some level of consultation on their wardrobe. I really strive to make people feel comfortable during the photo session.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. The weather is great and you can literally meet people from all over the world! Los Angeles really is the city of dreams which on one hand is great, but sometimes people seem to be under so much pressure to be important that they miss the beauty in being themselves.
