Today we’d like to introduce you to Cristina Rae.
Hi Cristina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a vocalist, actress and dancer. A mother who was pregnant and homeless but kept pushing and is still making my dreams come true.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Heck no! Life has not been easy. It’s been very challenging with many obstacles from homelessness, being lonely but pushing through.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a vocalist, so I’ve been classically trained since seven and I hated it but now I’m so happy and grateful for the knowledge of how to protect my voice, my gift. I’m most proud of the fact that I kept going. I’ve had so many obstacles with my voice alone. Like having strep, throat closed up completely but still singing. I was told It’s possible I wouldn’t Sing anymore but I’m still singing and living.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood moment was the moment I got a Patti Labelle autographed bookmark at her cookbook signing. She also kissed me on my cheek and I felt even more amazing.
