Meet Bob Mongiello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bob Mongiello.

Bob, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an entrepreneur.
Having grown up back east in a small town in Pennsylvania where there was practically a pizza shop or an Italian bakery on every corner, so when I set out to open my first pizzeria in 1985 I knew that the standard was high but my family was up for the challenge. It didn’t take long for us to become the most successful pizza shop in a town that already had 125 to compete with.

After we moved to California I got busy with life and raising a family, it always was in the back of my mind though to open another pizzeria and I would spend my spare time developing the perfect pizza crust and sauce my friends and family were the lucky or sometimes unlucky taste testers. Finally, after many years of trial and error, they all proclaimed this was the best pizza they have ever had so it was time to take it to the marketplace and I did.

It has only been one year since I started my Mongiello’s pizza catering business and it took off like a rocket! I am always booked at least 20 events ahead and it is mostly word of mouth.

I am able to make fresh pizza at your event at a steady pace taking only 8 minutes for every two pizzas ,I provide a freshly made Caesar salad as well in a buffet style setting with my old world pizza carts and displays to make your part a great event .we also provide the plates, forks, and napkins.

How history becomes a tradition.
In the early part of 1950 when I was a very young boy I remember the trips to the Italian market every Sunday with my father just like I am sure he had when he was a boy.

The aroma of all the fresh baked Italian bread and deli meats filled the car as we drove home. When we arrived home the day would unfold to an Italian feast with friends and family that will always live as some of my most cherished childhood memories. Mongiello’s has proudly kept the tradition of quality and freshness in our family for generations and now we would like to invite your family to enjoy the same great fresh taste.

    Bob is certainly living his dream and passion. He has had obstacles and it is wonderful that he is sharing his great pizza.

    Bob catered our nephew’s graduation party. Everyone loved the food and the atmosphere, and for us, we did not have to do any of the work. I recommend him wholeheartedly for your party.
