Today we’d like to introduce you to Anton Mora.
Anton, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Born and raised in Seville (Spain), I grew up in one of its small neighborhoods called Triana, which is famous for its interesting historical and artistic background.
I moved to LA in 2011, that was my first big trip out of my country. Here, I’d be exposed to amazing art and talented people that inspired me every single day for the next eight years.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I found my passion for street photography, capturing real moments and emotions that are around us but usually get unnoticed.
These authentic and unique moments can also deliver important messages, help us to see other points of view and even understand different aspects of our society. I feel that the beauty of it is that they all are out there to be found by us.
What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
I see success as subjective and personal. We could say that we are successful when looking at what we do, we feel with it. When it tells what we wanted to say or when it triggers that feeling or emotion that we had felt with it too, or maybe even a new one that we didn’t expect.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
Some of my photo series can be found on my website http://www.antonmoranavas.com/myphotos. I also share my work on my Instagram (anton.mora) where I also share images that I capture in my everyday.
