Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Panduro.
Hi Alexandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always loved taking pictures. Being able to freeze a moment forever is something I have always cherished. When my memory fades ill always have these beautiful pictures. When I became a mother the love for pictures just grew. In 2017 I had a surprise pregnancy. She was born that February in that same month my grandmother was diagnosed with Cancer. In a blink of an eye, she was gone by that May. During that entire time, I took one picture. In that picture, it was my mom, my grandmother, and both my daughters. I cherish that picture so much but was in the same boat as many of the families face today, wanting to get professional pictures taken but not being able to afford them. In 2018 my husband bought me my first professional camera and honestly, the rest was history. I posted on Facebook one day that I wanted to start my portfolio. I met 10+ families and it was their stories that really captivated me. How they always wanted to get family pictures taken but could never really afford it or the last time they took a picture was at a special occasion because of pricing. It had a lot to do with how I was raised, but hearing their stories really made me realize that I could change that. The feedback I had received back was overwhelming in positivity and how this was my calling and I listened. I started 0ff as it just being a hobby and in April of 2020, I decided to go full time and It has been the best decision I have ever made.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m not going to lie. It has and it hasn’t. It has in a sense as everything I have done, I have learned myself and I have had an amazing support system from family to clients that always hype me up. It hasn’t in a sense of other photographers don’t like that I’m an affordable photographer and will try to sabotage you. I say try because a hater can only get as far as YOU let them.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What sets me apart from others, I feel will be my editing style. I love bringing out the colors in my photos. I love the vibrance they have. I don’t have a certain specialty, I love all types of photography, I have shot weddings quinces, newborn maternity, etc. Like I said, I love being able to freeze a moment forever.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Being myself. I am a very outgoing person and I feel it helps to connect faster with my clients. I get “it feels like we have known each other forever” a lot.
