Art & Life with Leigh Ann Rowe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leigh Ann Rowe.

Leigh Ann, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’ve been shooting as far back as I can remember as a creative outlet while traveling extensively and working in the investment and real estate corporate world. When I was younger, I kept the photography business as my side-hustle. Since taking the leap (of faith) to pursue my passion full time, I’ve never worked harder but I’ve also never been happier. The excitement of new creative inspiration and challenges in working with designers, architects, home builders and other real estate professionals gets me out of bed every day, as I constantly strive to better myself and my craft. Over the last several years I’ve discovered a powerful drive and side of me that I never knew existed!

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I’m a photographer specializing in interior design, architecture, hospitality and real estate. I shoot many things, including people and events, but I feel most passionate about creative interiors. While I’m not a designer, I love and am inspired by interior designers and their craft and watching a beautiful storyboard come to life. I truly appreciate and am passionate about shooting beautiful spaces. Every room tells a story and I enjoy reading and capturing it for all to see, in its most beautiful form.

What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
I think there’s been no better time in our history for artists, photography, and photographers given that communication over social media is now almost entirely image driven. Everyone wants and needs photos of everything, which is great for photographers like me. We all want and expect to see beautiful content and are the lucky beneficiaries of it. I love it, it raises everyone’s game!

I also feel that with each new generation they bring a new perspective and “out of the box” creative thinking which we can all benefit from and be inspired by. I also love street art, here in the US and in other countries, which is a way for all people and cultures to creatively shout out – we all tell our own stories, which I love and find fascinating.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
The best place to find my work is on my website or my Instagram page, and of course on my client’s websites and in their brochures. I love to meet people on Instagram and am inspired daily by the images I see and have exposure to because of social media. We’re all lucky to find artistry of every fashion at the tips of our fingers which wasn’t the case even ten years ago.
