Today we’d like to introduce you to Kellie O’Hara.
Kellie, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’ve been fascinated by illustration since I can remember. I was always (and still am) very drawn to the visuals in children’s books and animated movies more so than the words. In high school, I spent as much time in the art room as I could so when deciding on a study for college, it wasn’t even a question!
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I love to illustrate digitally (on InDesign or on the iPad) the normal things in life that I find special. Most of my inspiration comes from real-life experiences!
Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
My advice to other artists, and to myself, is:
1. Create as much as you can.
2. Share your work as much as you can. Don’t stall out of fear that your work won’t be well-received. Be proud of what you do and the more you share, the more you’ll refine and grow.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
My work is mostly on Instagram. I encourage people to reach out to share what they like or want to see more of in my work! It’s really interesting for me to hear what other people think!
