Art & Life with Jacquelin Clemente

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacquelin Clemente.

Jacquelin, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
Art runs in my family, and after high school, I graduated from The Art Institute of California-Hollywood with a bachelor’s degree for Graphic Design. During my first job as a full-time designer I had this urge to see the world, especially Europe. I want on a two-week vacation to Europe, and during that time, I decided to quit my job and move to Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I got back to work from Europe, quit my job, packed two suit cases and went on my way to Amsterdam. I lived there for almost 2 years, and during that time, I had an amazing design job, but also suffered from depression to suicidal thinking that NO ONE knew about. Towards the end of my life in Amsterdam, I went to spend a month in New Delhi, India. My month in India, I volunteered at an orphanage/slum school and taught children from ages 2-6 how to read, do math, and most of all create ART. My mind altered completely after being in India, and I decided to move back home to the States. Once I got back, I dove deep into healing myself, physically, and emotionally. During that time, I was seeing a Psychic for life guidance, and one of the things he spoke of was to start painting. I started painting again, and it was an amazing release of emotions for myself, shortly I discovered I also was a Psychic Medium. I didn’t realize that all of my paintings were messages of what was to become in my life. After a few months of painting again, I created an Art show called ” I AM Art flow” that helped benefit orphans in LA county. This art show cased conscious individuals wanting to express how they saw the world. And the art show, I began expanding my painting through oils, and water color. And here I am now, creating my greatest creation, my first baby girl Meadow Marley

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I create art with my intuitive mediumship abilities. Majority of my paintings are with oils, I have also worked with acrylic and water color. I started painting for numerous reasons, to release and heal emotions from my past. I also started painting visuals I received during my meditations. When I meditate, I start to get visions, and feeling sensations, and my body transforms into my message, later on I discovered that was my Spirit Mediumship revealing itself to me. Each one of my paintings were all messages that I didn’t know at the time, ended up coming true. With each painting I put intentions to those who see my paintings are instantly blessed with happiness, abundance, love, and fulfillment. My message from my paintings to others is to live and be who they truly are. We live this life once, and we all have a message/gift to give to this earth. Everything going on in our outer world is a reflection of what’s going on within us, so recognize the fear and move through it and give your gifts.

What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
I feel that with any endeavor it becomes a little lonely, especially when you grow, you start to change, and the people around you start to change. Advice on connecting with another artist would be to put yourself out there. You will naturally be drawn to the people who are like you. As with anything, as you grow and head towards your purpose, the journey becomes a little lonely as you transition to your new life.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
Local art shows or mostly my Instagram accounts! And support would be great by attending shows and showing love
