Art & Life with Christopher Charles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Charles.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am originally from North Carolina where I began my journey as an artist. From North Carolina I moved to Florida where my career really started. I worked in a high end salon called Kimberly Clarke Salon, where Kimberly (the owner) really taught me how to be a professional artist. I started as a professional makeup artist and worked on many film and editorial sets. I quickly learned I had an eye for photography as well as makeup. I bought my first camera and haven’t stopped shooting sense. From Florida I moved to West Hollywood CA. and have been working for myself as a makeup artist and photographer sense.

Please tell us about your art.
I am a professional makeup artist and photographer. With makeup I try to give of myself to make any client feel the most beautiful they have ever felt inside and out. Also with photography I tend to pour my heart and soul into every shoot and image. My inspiration comes from every aspect of life and I try to find beauty in everything I do and see.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
You can find my work on my website or on Instagram, @christophercharles

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
The world is crazy as ever and my role as an artist is to add just a touch of beauty to this ever changing world.
