Art & Life with Anna Grachkova

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Grachkova.

Anna, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I went to a model agency when I was 11 years old. That was my first step into that industry. I have never thought of being a fashion photographer but as soon as I took my first photo , I realized that it would be the score of a lifetime. I am crazy about fashion and beauty photography. There are still a lot of things to discover but  I’m  ready to go beyond my current knowledge and to develop my skills! I hope you will find my shots in Pirelli calendar one day.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I create interesting fashion shoots and fashion stories. I already have two publications in Vogue Italia magazine and web editorials in other magazines. I am inspired by the works of Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton, and Peter Lindbergh . I like publications of Vogue, Numero, Sicky, Invoice, Huf magazine and a lot of others.

Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
It is a very good question! When I started my career as a photographer I faced with some financial difficulties due to many obvious reasons. However, I was driven by a strong desire to create the art of photography and to make my dream come true. When you find something that brings you a sense of accomplishment you have no right to give up.
