One of the first Indian restaurants to set up shop within the heart of Los Angeles, Anarkali has garnered high acclaim for its menu of diverse curry dishes that are a perfect blend of Northern Indian and Bengali influences. Saad and Fatema Choudhury built Anarkali in 1983 around the vision that it would become an extension of the warm hospitality family and friends have come to look forward within their own home.

Immediately after opening in early 2008, The Waffle became a local favorite serving delicious, innovative and exciting dishes in a “comforts of home” environment. Owners Gavin Polone and John Papsidera used their love of Classic American Diners to shape what quickly became a Hollywood staple. Being vegetarian, Polone stressed the importance of flavor and variety for those alike and they are continually expanding their Vegetarian Menu.
