Establish or come back to your practice. Set aside some time to do whatever it is that allows you to reconnect with yourself- whether it is sitting in meditation, going for a walk in nature, or even taking three deep breaths. In my experience, I have learned that what I give to my practice, I get back 1,000 times. When I make time to nourish myself on a deep, soulful level, I end up with a clearer direction of what choice to make, that will best serve all, in the face of challenge.

Lex Richardson – Account Manager, Designer & Lifestyle Blogger

Remember that challenges are presented to us as an opportunity to grow. Center yourself and your thoughts, stay determined and remind yourself that all the power to overcome lies within yourself and around you. You are stronger than you might think!

Steve Busby

Life is unpredictable and full of waves. There are so many times when I have felt not good enough or strong enough to get through tough times in my life.  These waves take us into dark and isolated places and we all fear we won’t get out. Its in these moments I remind myself to dig deep into my heart and remember that the universe only gives me challenges it knows I can handle. I must remind myself to appreciate that life is precious and every day is a blessing! Every day I get to wake up in this incredible city and do what I love, surrounded by people I love and that gives me happiness and gratitude!  We are all different, and our challenges are different, but life is precious and we should feel grateful to be apart of its journey. Enjoy the journey and the waves, no matter how crazy the ride may seem, these ups and downs are what make life worth living. It shapes the people we become and gives us the strength to get to the next chapter!

Klara Gomes – actress and world traveler

Always give your best when facing any type of challenge, a lot situations aren’t totally under our control, but knowing you’re doing the best you can helps take that guilty feeling away. Also, be kind to yourself, allow yourself to make mistakes and learn from it and never give up trying.

Meltem K – Event Manager, Model, Pilates Lover

There is never a reason to give up. Believe in your yourself. Have faith in your own powers.

Lora Dailey – Actor

Be persistent, and be patient with yourself. Taking on anything truly challenging takes a great deal of courage, as well as vulnerability. Often the fear of failure keeps us from pursuing our goals, but if you make peace with the possibility of failure, you can continue the climb. No matter the outcome, you will come out the other side a stronger person. So keep working, learn from your mistakes, ask for help if you need it, and keep challenging yourself. When you do succeed, you’ll know it came from a labor of love.

Pilar Holland – Actress/Producer

When facing a challenge that feels insurmountable I remind myself to put one foot in front of the other and take one step at a time. Don’t look too far ahead because that can most definitely create anxiety and that overwhelming sensation. Ask yourself, “What can I do today?” and create possibilities and solutions that you can make in the present moment. Another thing I do is share my feelings and fears with those closest to me. If we don’t share our feelings we never work through them and they can create a very negative impact on our mind and body. We begin to live in your head and not in the moment, which doesn’t serve you. Share your vulnerabilities and fears and find a support system that will listen and support your journey.

Rosa Leger – Actress

Believe in the process. There’s nothing impossible to the Universe. For you these problems might seem like the biggest in the world, but for the universe it’s a tiny crumb that  it can solve for you in seconds. But only if you believe. So keep believing.

Rachael Kester – Fitness Blogger

Take it day by day. Find a mentor. Consult your friends. Meditate about it in the shower. Do the best that you can, but also know that whatever will be will be, and everything happens for a reason.

Jordan Nguyen – Professional Dancer, Aspiring Actress, Makeup Enthusiast

Know your worth, strength, and potential. Recognize that you’re more powerful than any obstacle that gets thrown at you.

Emily Grimm – Hairstylist/ Mother

Just do the best you can. If you fail just try again and again.

Tara George – Actor, Singer, Songwriter

I’ve been there before when it rains it pours.  I’ve learned from all these storms that no matter how bad it gets, is you stay strong, have faith, and work hard you can find your rainbow.

Siete White – Actress & Model

My best advice for someone facing a challenge they view as insurmountable is to PERSEVERE. Often times in life the greatest breakthroughs occur at the crossroads between giving up and continuing on. If something brings you joy, inspires you, or provides any type of fulfillment for you as a human being – hold onto it for dear life. Don’t ever lose that.

Jasmine Kent – Founder of LoveJas Media

Understand that your words have power. So speak life over yourself and take time to listen for your next move.

Lisa Snow – Writer, Content Creator, and LGBTQ Advocate

Through my work- I deal with the emotions that surround coming out. I do think that at times, this process can feel insurmountable. Even coming out to yourself can be difficult. You go through different challenges, and it can easily overwhelm you. The advice I have when a challenge feels insurmountable, is always stay true to who you are. Trust, stay grateful, and know that everything happens when it should- as it should. Love yourself through any challenge, and use your obstacles as a chance to reflect, create, and grow.

Angie Jho – actor and a fitness influencer

When facing a mountain in front of you, I think the first thing you have to accept is that you may fail. And not just once. When you can come to terms with failing as a part of life and growth, then you have the freedom to try again and again and in different, creative ways that you might not have attempted in the past. Perseverance is key. It’s cliche, but: If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. And again. And again. Learn from your mistakes. Look at things from a different angle. What did you do well? What can you improve on? Our failures are what cause us to be stretched. And as we mature and evolve into a wiser and stronger version of ourselves, the once “insurmountable” obstacle becomes just another accomplishment. Failing is not the same as being a failure. So don’t be afraid to try and keep trying.

Larisa Southerland – Artist

My best advice for someone who’s facing a challenge that feels insurmountable would be to break their ultimate goal down into bite-sized goals that seem more attainable. It’s what I do, and it makes my lofty goal of becoming a pop star/legendary actress seem like it’s actually within my reach. When large goals are broken down into smaller ones that are easier to achieve, progress seems more evident, motivation increases, and dreams will turn into realities!

EmilyYager – Fashion Model & Life Coach

You are so strong. There is always a way. Remember your intention. Be grateful for what you do have. Be comfortable with less. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. That’s how you grow. Choose happiness. Everyday.

Lorie Rivas – Entertainer/Actor

Life gets hard. It’s supposed to. Those are the moments that shape you and mold you into the masterpiece of a person you were intended to be. Like a diamond, we must endure an immeasurable amount of pressure and heat before we shine. Trust yourself and have faith that you will overcome any challenge that confronts you. And if you’re feeling like things can’t get any worse, they can, so shift your way of thinking. Do not allow yourself to sit and dwell in the negative energy for too long. Get up, brush yourself off and challenge life right back! Let it know that you are strong, bold, and will not back down. Ask yourself, are you gonna take flight or are you gonna gear up and fight for your life; always the latter one because if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.

Jeserey Sanchez – Singer/ Actor/ Model

To this day, I still find myself in doubt of the path I chose to take on. When you feel as if you have conquered a great obstacle, here’s another one coming at full speed waiting to tackle you down.Whether you’re in the arts, a career in the medical field, engineering, business, there are going to be endless challenges. You can seek out help from others, friends, and family. Confide with the people you trust, that believe in you, that want nothing but the best for you. Keep that solid support system behind you, may it be one or one hundred. But, my advice comes down to this. Look in the mirror, tell yourself three amazing traits that you truly know sets you apart from the rest. Remember why you started, BREATHE, first and foremost. Whatever challenge you may be faced with, know that this wouldn’t have been placed in front of you if you couldn’t surpass it. This is only the beginning. To say it will get easier, would be false. But, will you become wiser, yes. Will you come by another greater challenge, yes. Will you prevail, absolutely. Sometimes you need to take a step back, that’s okay. We all find ourselves at a breaking point and need a moment. Never feel weak or you’ve failed yourself. Knowing your limits is half the battle. But, also knowing that positive thinking goes a long way, that you are made for this. Ultimately, if you don’t trust and believe in your strengths and capabilities how can you expect anyone else to.
