I’m 20 today. I’m entering a new chapter of my life. I’m not gonna lie and say that I’m not scared, cause I am. I’m in Los Angeles risking my life on a career, a dream that I want so bad. Since I was a kid I’ve dreamt of becoming an entertainer, an artist. I’d always day dream about moving out here at 18. I remember telling everyone, even strangers that I’m gonna move to Los Angeles when I’m 18 and follow my dreams. That’s exactly what I did. I had only $500 in my pocket coming out here, a small suitcase, and shoes that had holes in them. I only had rent, and no job lined up. The first few months were such a struggle, I’d have like $12 to my name for like two weeks at a time. But it was worth it💙💙. I came out here to become a film director, still plan on becoming one. My heart chose stand up, as a kid I was the class clown, even in my GED program. But deep down I was scared to pursue my dreams of becoming a comedian, didn’t think there was a market for that, so I left that idea behind. One night in late September of last year, I remember going to the Hollywood improv for the first time. I watched amazing comedians, and a fire in my heart lit up, right then, and there I just knew I wanted to be a comedian. It’s like I fell in love that night. I had a burning desire to go on that stage with the others. A few weeks later I went to an open mic at the Hollywood improv and bombed so bad, I wanted to die lol. But I kept going mics, and got better, and better. I don’t go to mics as much as I would like, I’m always working, but I’m always constantly writing. But I’m gonna change that. I didn’t come out here to work a full time job, I came out here to follow my dreams. I want to be a comic, director, actress, and writer, not a sales associate. From this point on I will go to 1 mic or more every week. I will write everyday, I will film a video for my YouTube channel once a week, I will go on auditions and book parts. I WILL DO ALL THIS. Today I’ll be enjoying my 20th birthday. NEXT YEAR BIRTHDAY 21 WILL BE A GOAL OF MINE TO PERFORM AT A BIG COMEDY CLUB. #lawofattraction #comedian #birthday #artist #creator
