My new series is the #truth about dietary supplements. Which brands and types are good or bad and more importantly WHY? 🤔 I’m going to teach YOU all how to judge a vitamin, herb, protein powder, bar, etc.. because not all “natural” or “healthy” products are created equal. In fact even the words natural or healthy don’t mean what you think they should when on a package. Many supplements are filled with crap! Besides the years in college getting my degrees, I’ve been in the dietary supplement and nutrition industry since the 90s (I know, I’m old ha ha) but I’ve learned some stuff, and in the next months I will be uncovering and calling out supplement companies on their #nutritionBS and letting you know which ones are safe, beneficial, useful, & #nutritionistapproved – PS I filmed this months ago, and sadly this company has since been bought by the Nestlé junk food and “health” 🙄 Corporation. That’s how fast things change in this industry. I will be posting some alternate brands of this fabulous brain and mood supporting nutrient L-Theanine. For now try Jarrow @jarrowformulas or #sourcenaturals #julikeeneapproved

Crazy about Carrots 🥕 Check out these beautiful colorful carrots from #Brentwood #farmersmarket Did you know that carrots are an excellent source of potassium, vitamins K, C and B6? Despite their sweetness, they don’t have a big impact on our blood sugar levels so you can enjoy them as part of a healthy diet. Significantly carrots are an excellent source of beta-carotene important for the health of our skin, eyes and immune system. Enjoy then with some type of fat to enhance their digestibility. I love mine with hummus or as part of a roasted vege dish:) Plus, you can add to a salad or grill up the leaves to utilize your body’s detox system as they’re a great food for eliminating toxins that accumulate in our body. • • • #losangeles #losangelesfarmers #farmersmarket #carrots #healthyliving #organic #freshfood #supportfarmers
